People found a strange blue ball in the garden that suddenly came to life and asked for help

In the city of Taunton in the UK, people accidentally discovered in their garden near the house a strange ball, heterogeneously covered with blue paint. At first they thought it was just a blown ball, but then, to everyone’s surprise, the “subject” began to move. It turned out that this is a real hedgehog stained with paint. It is not known exactly how the animal "turned blue", but from the resulting stress and damage, it contracted into a ball and asked with all its appearance for help.

Fortunately, there is the Royal Society for the Protection of Animals from Abuse (RSPCA) in England, so worried people knew exactly where to go. The hedgehog was taken to a medical center, where specialists cleaned the stubborn paint from its needles for several days. In addition, the coloring matter got on the sensitive skin of the animal, causing painful ulcers.

Fortunately, the workers of the center took good care of the prickly poor fellow, so that soon his wounds healed, and only the name that people gave him reminds of the once blue spines. For color similarity with the game with a character from the 90s, the hedgehog was nicknamed Sonic. As soon as the animal was completely restored and his good health returned to him, he was immediately released.

To prevent such and other troubles with hedgehogs, RSPCA employees would like to warn us all not to leave unattended nets, sharp tools, paint cans and all kinds of chemicals - all this can injure prickly creatures. Especially in the spring, when they move away from hibernation and are too active in search of food.
