Amazing atmospheric photos of Montparnasse of the 30-50s from the artist Emile Savitri

Emil Savitri is a famous French artist of the first half of the 20th century, who was very passionately and devotedly interested in photography. Born into a wealthy entrepreneur’s family, Emil was not at all interested in his legacy, business, and making money in principle. His only passion and goal was creativity, so throughout his life the Frenchman was extremely active in the field of visual art. Painting and photography completely dominated his attention.

By the age of thirty, Savitri had revealed himself as a gifted photographer. He shot in a wide variety of genres - street photography, portraits, social photography and even fashion. One of the most striking and well-known of his shots was shots from the everyday life of Parisians, as well as shots depicting the everyday life of the French bohemians of those times, of which he was a part.
