Travelers who have already thoroughly studied the Spanish Barcelona, ​​Madrid and Seville, should think about a trip inland. After all, Spain is full of picturesque villages in which there are undeniable advantages over large cities: there are no crowds of tourists, authentic cuisine, and the prices are much more pleasant. And, of course, it is small towns that can give a complete picture of this sunny country and its inhabitants. By the way, this list was compiled exclusively from the words of the Spaniards themselves: the survey was conducted by journalists of the newspaper El País, the most popular in the country. They asked to choose the most beautiful towns among the settlements, where not more than 10 thousand inhabitants live.

The village of Albarracin (Aragon) won first place thanks to the ruins of the ancient Alcazar, the historical center and the beautiful cathedral.

The town of Cudillero in Asturias with a population of slightly less than six thousand people will satisfy any tourists: narrow streets, an amphitheater and colorful houses. The village is considered fishing, so the seafood here is excellent!
