The Nazarovsky coal mine is located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory and is part of SUEK-Krasnoyarsk. The main consumer of the section is the Nazarovskaya TPP. In the 1970s, the Nazarovsky open pit became an experimental training ground for the development of advanced coal mining technologies. The unique rotor complex SRs (K) -4000 produced by the German company TAKRAF is operating here - the largest and most productive overburden complex in Russia.

The Nazarovsky open pit was commissioned in 1951. In the 1980s, when the demand for brown coal was maximum, the production at the enterprise reached 14 million tons of coal per year. Now the volume of production at the enterprise is about 4 million tons.

The complexity of the Nazarovsky section is a large volume of rock, under which coal seams are hidden. To get to the coal, you need to extract up to 70 meters of soil. Four types of overburden are currently operating - railway, automobile, dump and transportless.

Railway overburden is made by an excavator EKG-10 on a dump turntable.

The main overburden ledge with a height of up to 35 m is worked out by the SRs (k) -4000 bucket-wheel excavator using a spreader.

SRs (K) -4000 is a key link in the overburden technology of the Nazarovsky open pit and accounts for about 60% of the total overburden.

The conveyor principle of operation allows you to open the rock with a rotor wheel, and then move it to the dump on the tape.

Digging height is 36 meters, which is comparable with the height of a 12-story building.

The length of the rotor boom is 42 meters.

24 buckets are attached to the wheel - 12 chain and 12 scoring buckets, with a volume of 2000 and 1600 liters, respectively.

This "mountain giant" is unique, as it is the only one in our country.

For a year, SRs (k) consumes 7930 thousand kW / h.

The name of the complex SRs (K) -4000 stands for excavator (S) crawler (R) rotary (S) cold design (K) with a capacity of 4000 cubic meters per hour.

The total weight of the complex is 9800 tons. The Eiffel Tower in Paris weighs the same amount.

The maximum construction height is 48 meters (16-storey building).

The speed of the complex is 2-6 m / min. The length of one track is 13 meters, the width is 4 meters.

In total, about 900 people work at the Nazarovsky open pit.

The length of the boom spreader is 195 meters.

During its work at the enterprise, SRs (K) -4000 transferred more than 150 million tons of overburden to dumps.

In winter, the complex does not work due to the buildup of rock on conveyor belts and the working body.

After the SRs (K) -4000 complex passed, the remaining lower overburden ledge up to 20 meters high was worked out by walking excavators.

Six walking excavators are involved in the Nazarovsky open pit: two ESh20 / 90-2, one Ash15 / 90-1 and three Ash10 / 70-3.

In a stationary state, the excavator rests on the ground with a base plate at the base; if necessary, take a "step" the weight is transferred to the support shoes. The excavator rises above the ground, moves a certain distance and sits on the ground again with a base plate. Support shoes, in turn, rise above the ground and carried forward; then the cycle repeats.

The actual speed of movement is 60-80 meters per hour, the maximum passport speed is up to 200 m / h.

The length of the boom is 90 meters.

But this is not the largest excavator. Previously, the legendary ESh 100/100 (bucket capacity of 100 cubic meters) worked in the Nazarovsky open pit - the largest walking excavator in Eurasia and one of the world's largest land mobile units.
In the 1990s, the ESh 100/100 excavator was cut into scrap metal. Over the life of the ESh 100/100, overexcaved 121 million m³ of rock.

And so we got to the coal!

Its excavation is carried out by ER-1250 rotary excavators with a capacity of 2,300 tons of coal per hour. Over the years of operation, this excavator shipped about 23 million tons of coal to consumers.

There are 18 buckets on the rotor wheel, each volume is 350 liters.

The height of the excavator is 22.5 meters.

Brown coal.

Coal is transported by diesel locomotives to the Ugolnaya-2 station and further to the Nazarovskaya state district power station. It consumes more than 95% of coal, and therefore, as much coal as the station requires is mined. The rest of the coal is exported by self to the boiler houses and for local consumption.
