Southwest Provides Aircraft to Harvey Orphaned Pets

Last week, Southwest Airlines probably remembered the biblical story of Noah's Ark and decided on one very extraordinary, but very noble step. They put the whole plane at the disposal of orphaned animals during the Houston flood.

The fact is that animal shelters throughout Texas are now crowded, with the result that many pets are left homeless in a completely desperate situation. On one of its airliners, Southwest Airlines sent the four-legged poor to the Helen Woodward Health Center in San Diego, California. This gesture was vital for animals, because if they had not found a roof over their heads, then most of them would simply have been euthanized. Now, animals (mainly dogs and cats) are waiting for a new life in California, where they hopefully will soon find new homes.
