Dismaland Banksy: A Creepy Version of Disneyland

Meet Dismaland Banksy - an amusement park from nightmares, the very name of which suggests that it is better not to wait for a bright sensation from visiting this place (dismal in English means "gloomy").

The shocking amusement park, which recently opened in the UK, is the work of the notorious mysterious street artist under the pseudonym Banksy. The secret project is located on the territory of the abandoned Tropicana resort in Weston-super-Mare. Banksy and 50 other famous artists from around the world worked on a sullen version of the theme park. Entrance to Dismaland will cost about $ 5, and the park will work for only 5 weeks.

The official brochure describes this place as follows: "Are you looking for an alternative to soulless cloying banality? Or just need something cheaper? Then this place is for you: a chaotic, new world where you can get rid of senseless escapism. Instead of a kiosk with burgers, we have museum. Instead of souvenir shops there is a library. Although we also have a souvenir shop ... There will be adult themes, disturbing images, lots of strobe lighting, smoke effects and cursing. It’s strictly forbidden: knives, sprays, illegal drugs and lawyers Walt Disney Corporation. "

Dismaland is a creepy version of Disneyland, or "a family theme park unsuitable for children."

It was secretly built by Banksy Street Artist in the English city of Weston-super-Mare.

“I loved the Tropicana when I was a kid, so it’s a great honor for me to enter these doors again,” Banksy says.

"I think you would say that this is a park whose main theme is" the presence of theme parks with a greater variety of topics. "

The park presents Banksy's moody works, as well as 50 other artists from around the world.

"I banned any images of Mickey Mouse initially," says the artist.

"It was an exhibition of works by the best artists."

To get to the park, visitors will need to go through a painful verification process.

Leaving Dismaland will not be easy either.

Here, instead of a portrait, you get an image of your neck.

In Dismaland you will find "a floor with an uneven surface, strobe lighting, images unsuitable for young children, and curses."

"Spray paints, felt-tip pens, knives and Walt Disney Corporation representatives are strictly prohibited in the park."
